Questions On Your Mind

Everyone Deserves an Answer

Learn more about our work and how we are improving the lives of every patient. Check out our list of common misconceptions below to get the answers you need. If you still feel like you have a question for us, feel free to get in touch with us and one of our staff members will be sure to help you out.

1. People cannot be referred to hospice until death is imminent…

While it is true the patient has to have a qualifying diagnosis to be eligible for hospice services this in no way means it is imminent or we are numbering their days. We are here to ensure the best quality of life during those days!

2. Choosing Hospice means we’re “giving up”

Choosing Hospice does not mean we’re giving up.. it simply means we are changing focus. Aggressive treatment is no longer the focus, the focus shifts to comfort and dignity for a person who is terminally ill by reducing pain and addressing physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs in the comfort of their own living space.

3. We can’t afford hospice on top of all of the other medical bills.

Nearly ALL hospice services, supplies, medications, and medical equipment will be covered by insurance!

A Bit About Our Liaison

Hey y'all my name is Kendra and I would love to be your hospice resource! I have devoted 15 years to geriatric nursing and I absolutely loved it but I saw a bigger need! I found my passion in hospice and I knew that's where I belonged! Hospice had always been a difficult word for me until I experienced the process with my own mother. I truly understood what a GIFT Hospice actually was and I knew then that I wanted to be able to spread that gift! I am now the biggest advocate for hospice care and I'm blessed with a career where I can share my own experience, passion, and knowledge with as many people as possible to hopefully remove the stigma that surrounds hospice currently! Please let me know how I can help you!
